the best roomie(s) ever

i got to have dinner with my favorite roomie (and ryan!) in the NW today. it was a great surprise and made me smile the whole rest of the night! thanks guys, i was missing you terribly!

summer

supposedly this is summer in the great state of oregon. in all reality it sometimes feels just a little warmer than spring. but there is a ton more sunshine compared to the SAD (season affective disorder) days of winter. summer classes officially ended and i'm taking a few weeks completely off of anything academic in hopes to enjoy my last real summer before the workforce world and adulthood beckons. 4th of july is being spent with a friend and her family. i have heard numerous tales of fireworks and celebratory antics at their annual july 4th party. i'm way super excited and may or may not have bought a 5 foot inflatable pink magic dragon to use in their lake! don't worry...there will be pictures posted later - that is, after they are all screened for appropriateness :)

on another note, i came down with this weird summer cold thing and lost my voice. i now sound like this strange version of a 13 year old boy going through puberty that smokes several packs of marlboros a day :)
